About This Scholarship:

In collaboration with the Master card Foundation, the University of Edinburgh will provide 200 full funded scholarships to students from Africa with excellent academic and leadership potential Master card Foundation is one of the biggest charitable foundations in the world. It operates under the governance of its own Board of Directors, independently from Master card Incorporated, which originally set up the Foundation in 2006.

With financial support, Scholars will participate in activities as part of the wider Scholars Program at the University of Edinburgh including work-based placements, mentorship, and other activities during the academic year.

Coverage

  • Only 10 scholarships are available for the 2020/2021 academic year
  • Full tuition fees
  • Expenses for accommodation and maintenance.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must apply for one of eligible courses listed above

Applicants must qualify academically for admission

Applicants must be a national and citizen of a Sub-Saharan African country

Applicants should not have completed a master degree previously

Applicants must have track record of leadership and service within his community

Applicants are able to present economic circumstances which show they lack financial means to pursue higher education in their home country or elsewhere

Application Procedure:

The application is made up of four parts. If eligible, you must ensure you have completed Steps 1-3 in order to submit your application. Step 4 is optional at this stage of the application.
